 APAAR IDs for Students Delegation of powers to MEOS/Head Masters Grade-II/ DyEOs for making necessary corrections in the school records - Orders Issued.

All the District Educational Officers in the state are here by informed that, in the reference 1 read above, DEOs have been requested to instruct the concerned Head Masters and Principals of Junior collages to validate the data available in the portal by verifying students information with their Aadhaar details and also informed that, the students Name, Sur name, Gender, Date of Birth should be same in school records as per the Aadhaar, if required necessary corrections shall be made in UDISE+ portal and school records by 12.07.2023.

The District Educational Officers are also informed that in the reference 2nd read above, they have been requested to take necessary action in the matter and see that consent of parents is obtained under all management Schools in the District which are covered under UDISE+ and shall generate APAAR ID for each and every student. As of now (18.12.2024) only 3% APAAR IDs were generated.

In view of the above and to mitigate the inconvenience faced by the students, it has been decided to issue modified orders to the proceedings 1 read above.

Therefore, the under signed is pleased to delegate the powers to the following officials for making corrections in school records as per Aadhaar by 31.01.2025 only subject to adherence of prescribed procedure and due verifications. No corrections are permitted beyond that date.

In this connection the DEOs are requested to issue instructions to the MEOS and Head Masters to verify both the records, in the first instance i.e. Aadhaar and school records and make necessary corrections where ever necessary. The correction in the Aadhaar should be taken up in the first instance. If not then the school records have to be corrected so as to enable Aadhaar validation as Name and Date of Birth are different from school records and Aadhaar card.

All the Regional Joint Directors of School Education and District Educational Officers are requested to personally ensure that Instructions are communicated effectively to Headmasters, Mandal Educational Officers (MEOS), and Deputy Educational Officers (DYEOS) and they shall remain vigilant in overseeing and monitoring all corrections made in school records to maintain accuracy and consistency, particularly with AADHAR data for APAAR ID generation.

Any deviation or error that compromises the integrity of school records or constitutes tampering will attract strict disciplinary action in accordance with rules in force.
